Q1) Is it permissible for a muslim girls primary school to put up pictures of school children on the website with parents consent?
Q2) Is it permissible for a muslim girls secondary school to put up pictures of the school children on the school website with parents consent?
Q3) is it permissible for a muslim girls primary and secondary school to put up pictures of children and other animated objects on the display board in the classroom etc?

Respected Brother
1) It is not permissible to take pictures of animate objects. Rasulullah () has mentioned grave warnings for whose who draw or take pictures of animate objects. Therefore, it is not permissible for girls or boys to take pictures and post them on blogs or social websites. The website serves as a platform where children from the same school could keep in contact with their friends and socialize after school. The parents should discourage the children from using such platforms to communicate as it destroys the Imaan of our children. We are aware of so many incidents where school going kids have become addicted to social networking websites/platforms that they become involved in relationships which destroys their education and ruins their future. AIDS, teenage pregnancies, suicide, etc are some of the consequences of children being hooked onto these websites. We therefore implore parents to encourage their children to concentrate on their studies instead of wasting money and time chatting with their peers and friends.
2) The above applies to children attending secondary school as well.
3) It is not permissible.
