Question
There is a tradition in india that.if someone is going out of the country they put imam-e-zamin on the right hand. Then, when the person leaves the country they will take out the amount ( it can be anything ) from the imam-e-zamin and give it to charity.
Is there anything like this in Hadith.
Can u please explain the above?
Answer
Muhtaram / Muhtaramah
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
Giving of charity is meritorious. Charity wards off Allah’s anger and calamities. It is advisable to give charity before travelling and to ask Allah for protection. However, the above practice is not established from Hadeeth.
And Allah knows best
