In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.

1) In general, it is not permissible to practice birth control if one fear that he will unable to support children. Allah Ta’ala has taken the responsibility of feeding His creation. Allah Ta’ala says in the holy Quran:

ولا تقتلوا أولادكم خشية إملاق نحن نرزقهم وإياكم

And do not kill your children because of poverty.  We will provide for you, and for them as well.

(Verse: 6:151)

Furthermore, Shariah encourages Muslims to have more children.

قال النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم  تزوجوا الودود الولود فإنى مكاثر بكم الأمم .

Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Marry those women who love you dearly and who would give birth to more offspring; for verily, I’ll take pride in the large numbers of my Ummah.

However, if a woman is not healthy enough to bear a child or she experiences great pain and sicknesses during pregnancy, then it will permissible to use condoms with mutual consent.

It is permissible to sell condoms as it could also be used in instances permitted in Shariah.

لا يكره بيع الجارية المغنية والكبش النطوح والديك المقاتل والحمامة الطيارة ؛ لأنه ليس عينها منكرا وإنما المنكر في استعمالها المحظور .

فكله مكروه تحريما بشرط أن يعلم به البائع و الآجر من دون تصريح به باللسان, فإنه إن لم يعلم كان معذورا.

2) The transaction of purchasing and selling televisions is not permissible (makrooh-e-tahrimi).

لأن بيع آلات اللهو كالبربط والطبل والمزمار والدف صحيح مكروه عند الإمام ، وقالا لا ينعقد بيعها ، والصحيح قوله للانتفاع بها شرعا من وجه آخر

3) It is not permissible to benefit from human hair due to the sanctity of mankind.

أن شعر الآدمي لا ينتفع به إكراما للآدمي

(Al Mabsoot li Al Sarakhsi Vol.8 Pg.109 – Darul Fikr)

وأما عظم الآدمي وشعره ، فلا يجوز بيعه لا لنجاسته ؛ لأنه طاهر في الصحيح من الرواية لكن احتراما له

 والابتذال بالبيع يشعر بالإهانة ، وقد روي عن النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام أنه قال : { لعن الله الواصلة ، والمستوصلة }

However, selling and using artificial hair is permissible.

ولا بأس للمرأة أن تجعل في قرونها وذوائبها شيئا من الوبر كذا في فتاوى قاضي خان
