Question

I heard reading this three surahs at night regularly will enable an angle on the day of judgement will announce “who are the inhabitants of jannatul ferdous” Could you please very reading the same virtue in light of hadith?

Answer

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhwa-barakātuh.

We have not found any Hadith which states the virtue of reading these three surahs collectively. However, each surah individually has its own virtue. For example, Surah Waaq’ah, Nabi (Sallalaahu alayhi wassalm) said: That person who reads Surah Waaqi’ah every night will be saved from poverty[1] .

Surah Ar Rahmaan, Once Nabi (sallalaahu alayhi wassalm) came to the Sahaaba (Radiyallah hu anhum) and begun reading Sarah Ar Rahmaan from the beginning till the end. The Sahaaba (Radiyallah hu anhum) remaind silent. Thereafter, Nabi ( sallaahu alayhi wassalm) said: “I read Surah Ar Rahmaan to the jinn on the night of jinn, when I came to the aayat فَبِأَيِّ آلاءِ رَبِّكُما تُكَذِّبانِ

they gave a better response than you people”, “they said, there is no bounty from our Rabb that we reject”[2].

Surah Hadeed, Before sleeping Nabi (sallalaahu alayhi wassalm) would recite the Musbbihaat (Surah Hadeed). Nabi ( sallaahu alayhi wassalm) said: “In it there is an aayat which is more virtuous than a thousand aayats”[3]. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Vol 4, Aaraam Baagh Karachi)
