Question Is it permissible to fast on a Friday alone? Answer Muhtaram / Muhtaramah In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh. According to the Hanafi Mazhab, it is undesirable (makrooh tanzihi) to fast on a Friday alone. It is preferable to fast a day before or after Friday, if one intends to fast on Friday. Question if i am fasting and i wake up and i notice i have blood in my mouth not knowing if i swallowed it will my fast break? Answer Muhtaram / Muhtaramah In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
