Thereafter adding one – 1 year old animal for every thirty animals, and adding one – 2 year old animal for every forty animals.

Horses

One fortieth amount of the total value of the horses owned which are over and above those used by the owner for riding, hauling or farming.

Zakaat is payable only on the ownership of animals grazing on the farms. Animals which do not graze but are fed in closed stables, cowsheds or pens and such enclosures are exempt from the payment of Zakaat.

Animals which are underaged are totally exempt from the payment of Zakaat. Nor is there Zakaat on the ownership of such animals which are used for riding, for farming and/or for any other purpose connected with the earning of a living or recreation.
