As-Salāmu ʿAlaykum Wa-Raḥmatullāhi Wa-Barakātuh

In principle, there is no fixed number of rows (ṣufūf) required for the validity of Ṣalātul Janāzah. However, it is preferable to form three rows, where possible. Having exactly three rows or an odd number of rows is not a condition for the validity of Ṣalātul Janāzah. If three rows cannot be formed, the Ṣalāh should proceed with the number of rows possible and remains valid.
