We, the parents named our newborn baby, but the grandparents objected as they were not given the privilege to name the child. Did we do wrong?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
The parents have the right to name their child. It is incorrect for the grandparents to become offended for not having the choice of naming their grandchild.
