In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
According to Shariah, in some instances such as soft ground etc it is permissible to bury a Muslim in a coffin. Therefore, since it is permissible for a Muslim to make use of a coffin, the sale and manufacture of coffins by a Muslim will be permissible (Shaami Vol.2 Page 234).
