Question
I have been accredited for haj 1433. I would like
to know if its compulsory for us to slaughter sheep (qurbani) or if it’s
permissible to buy shares and sent to the poor countries?

Respected brother/ sister in Islam
According to shariah, Qurbani is not necessary on a person who is a Musafir (traveller). Since you will be on Hajj and be a Musafir, Qurbani is not Wajib. However, if you send Qurbani shares to poor countries, it will be regarded as Nafl and you will be rewarded for this action.
The above refers to the Qurbani and not Damm which is offered when one performs Tamattu or Qiraan Hajj.
