IF A PERSON IS DRUNK, CAN HE STILL PERFORM FARD SALAAH IF IT IS TIME? WHAT IS PREFERABLE? IS THE FARD OBLIGATION FULFILLED IF HE PRAYS THE SALAAH IN THE DUE TIME WHISLT DRUNK?

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
A drunken person is never absolved from the obligation of fard salaah. If he is drunk to an extent whereby he is unaware of what he speaks, then he cannot perform salaah. He will have to repeat his missed salaah once he is sober. However, if he is aware of what he speaks, then he can perform salaah. [1]
