As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
The meaning of ‘SHADIN’ is ‘gazelle fawn’. (Young gazelle)(Hans wehr 461, Cambridge dictionary 508)
Although it is permissible to keep such a name, we advice you choose a name of one of our pious predecessors. Hopefully, the child will be blessed with some of the noble qualities of the one his named after. Names have a great psychological effect on the child. Therefore, you should ensure that the name has a beautiful meaning.
