Question
are we allowed to look for the girl we would want to marry?
Will that not be gunaah becos in islam we not supposed to look at girls, so
How we meant to get married to the one we want to?
Answer
Muhtaram / Muhtaramah
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible to look at a girl for marriage. It is not permissible to randomly look at girls without this purpose of marriage. It is also not permissible to use the excuse of looking at a girl for marriage purposes to fill ones appetite of lust and desire.
