I just came across your site tonight as I was looking for some names. I want to know the meanings of few names…

Irum
Usman
Ayesha
Though I do know that all of these names are islamic and are the names of prophets(Male/Female)…..But Im sure that each name has some specific menaing aswell. My name is Ayesha and whenever I tried to know the exact mening of my name I got just one answer that Its an Islamic name, Name of beloved Wife of Holy Prophet(SAW) . But Im sure that every single name has some specific meaning. As ” name Ayesha” must have some meaning, The meaning that the parents of Hazrat Ayesha might have considered before giving this name to their daughter.
Please do tell me the meaning of these names.

Muhtaram / Muhtaramah
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāh wa-barakātuh.
Irum – name of a tribe of people of Aad
Ayesha – Full of Life, well off, Well to do, Prosperous
Uthmaan – name for the chick of a bird called buzzard, or a snake.
However we do not keep names like Ayesha and Uthman for their meaning, rather due to the fact that they are the names of beloved Sahaba and Sahabiyaat. When we keep these name we hope for the blessings of the name of those Sahaba and Sahabiyaat.
