Question:
Can students learn how to perform hajj practically by using a big box to explain the tawaaf etc. They will have to walk around the box and basically do a the entire Hajj by walking around the box etc and using other objects as the mountains of Safa and Marwa
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullāhi Wa-Barakātuh.
If boxes or other props are used without making them resemble the actual Ka‘bah (e.g., draping a black cloth over them), then it is permissible.
However, this should not be done in a public setting so as not to give onlookers the wrong impression.[1]
