Can you please advise me whether it is permissible (Islamically) to find out from your gyneanocologist what the sex of your baby is before they are born?

1. Yes it is permissible but discouraged if there is no medical need to do so.
2. However, there is no guarantee that the doctor would be correct. Rather leave it as a surprise.
